Australian featherweight ‘Ruthless’ Rob Lisita (14-6) will make his One FC return October 17, against undefeated Russian Marat Gafurov (9-0) in the One FC: Roar of Tigers main event.

Lisita, 31, has been eager to step back into the One FC cage since dropping a potential title fight eliminator to Eric Kelly in July. A fight which the Aussie began strongly in, only to succumb to a rear-naked choke in the second round. The loss followed the Phuket Top Team based fighter’s dominant One FC debut where he knocked out Yusuke Kawanago in just 28 seconds at One FC 15.

Marat Gafurov captured the M-1 featherweight crown late 2012 when he submitted Vugar Bakhshiev in the opening frame. Following the win, the twenty nine year-old went on to stop Yuri Ivlev with punches, before outpointing American Lee Morrison in April. This fight will mark his debut One FC appearance.

Meanwhile, in the co-main event, Auckland based Malaysian fighter Ev Ting (7-2) is back for his second promotional appearance, with the Auckland MMA product slated to meet Filipino fighter Edward Kelly (5-1).

Ting will be looking to build on an impressive first round TKO of Yohan Mulia Legowo at One FC 17. Kelly, on the other hand, will be eager to avoid back-to-back defeats in the promotion following a 44 second rear-naked choke submission loss to Herbert Burns in December.

One FC 21 will see the promotion return to Malaysia for the fifth time on October 17 at the Putra Indoor Stadium in Bukit Jalil. News of the matchups was first revealed by MSN Malaysia.
