Valor C-Series 5 takes place this Saturday night at the Recreation Centre in Devonport, Tasmania.
The pro-am event will be headlined by a welterweight clash between Launceston’s Damon Upton-Greer and Adam Cook from Burnie. Both fighters will be eager to get back on track following recent defeats, with Upton-Greer dropping a title fight eliminator against David Butt at Valor 6, and after going 2-0 in 2013, Cook kicked off his 2014 campaign with a majority points decision loss to Kahn Sandy at Valor 7.
A lightweight tilt between Ethan Duniam and David Simmons fills out the co-main event slot. Simmons steps up on just 48 hours notice following Chris Drummond’s late withdrawal from the card through injury.
Also slated for the show, following his entertaining Valor 7 welterweight title fight loss to Callan Potter (fight video), Queensland based David Butt will make his promotional return against Jason Maluga.
Valor C-Series 5 will be the promotion’s 12th live event since Valor 1 back in mid 2012.
