Mackay based promotion Carnage in the Cage holds its fourth event this Saturday night at the Mackay Entertainment Centre in Queensland. The online pay-per-view via Go Fight Live will be available at the Fight News Australia Live Fights Page at a cost of US$9.99. The stream is scheduled to kick off at 6pm AEST.

The show’s main event will feature a lightweight title fight between Bowen youngster Taela Kelly and experienced New Zealand fighter Kieran Joblin.

For 20 year-old Taela Kelly, this fight will mark his third outing for the promotion, in which the local favorite has seen mixed results with a record of one win and one loss. Kelly kicked off his Carnage campaign at CITC 1, where he took veteran fighter Gokhan Turkyilmaz the distance only to fall short losing a unanimous decision. He bounced back at CITC 2 however, winning a split-points decision over Abel Brites. Most recently, Kelly fought Mathew Darke at Roshambo 4 and won a one round unanimous decision after an accidental low blow in the second frame forced a count-back of the judge’s first round score cards.

New Zealand standout Kieran Joblin was enjoying an impressive three-fight win streak, which included first round submission wins over combat sports veteran Ian Schaffa and the previously mentioned Gokhan Turkyilmaz, before coming across former UFC lightweight Bernardo ‘Trekko’ Magalhaes at AFC 10. The Strike Force Canterbury trained fighter lost a majority points decision on the night, and will now no doubt be looking for an impressive return to the winners column.

In the co-main event, Townsville native Kris Spence will meet the undefeated 23 year-old Bayden Mandich from Hobart in a featherweight battle.

Also on the main card, bantamweights Tahiwi Sellars-McGee and Josh Karst will square off, while Sam Kitchener and Mick Bosworth will meet in a lightweight matchup.

    Fight Card:

    • Taela Kelly vs Kieran Joblin – CITC Lightweight Title
    • Kris Spence vs Bayden Mandich
    • Tahiwi Sellars-McGee vs Josh Karst
    • Sam Kitchener vs Mick Bosworth

    MMA Fights (B Class):

    • Brandt Cogill vs Joel Miller
    • Kimo Smith vs Mahu Powell
    • Nick Hayes vs Beau Luxford
    • Justin Van Heerden vs Karl Paterson
    • Bo George vs Locky Sheaves
    • Ethan Vaughan vs Josh Kurtzmann
    • Chris Rower vs Blair Frew
    • Joel McFarlane vs Jason Anderson
