In the inaugural Roshambo event, Airlie Beach based fighter Anton Zafir will take on the undefeated Alex Volkanovski (pictured) for the promotions Welterweight Title. The fight will be contested under five rounds of five minute each.
Zafir trains out of Whitsunday Martial Arts and is coming off a second-round submission win over Paul Cavacus last August. That win took Zafir’s record to 2-0.
Volkanovski comes to us from the Freestyle Fight Gym in Windang, New South Wales and will bring an impressive 6-0 record to the fight with five knockouts coming in the first-round. He will be looking at adding another title to the one he captured at Cage Conquest where he defeated Regan Wilson to capture the Cage Conquest Title.
Integrated Hervey Bay fighter Greg Atzori will with the lightweight set to face American Cody Stevens who has set-up camp at the Tiger Muay Thai gym in Thailand. Prospect Chris Lokteff will be looking at bouncing back from his first career defeat when he moves up to the heavyweight division to face Peter Kennedy while Guy Belgrove clashes with Craig Martin.
Roshambo makes their debut on April 6 at the Chandler Theatre in Chandler, Queensland.
