Quillan Salkilld (13-1-0) is set to take on France’s Benoit ‘God of War’ Saint-Denis (17-4-0, 1 NC) at UFC Fight Night in Sydney on Saturday, February 6 (Sunday, February 7 AEDT).
Salkilld is the number 6-ranked UFC lightweight and a former Eternal MMA champion. The Australian has won four consecutive fights by first-round finish, most recently submitting Mateusz Gamrot in the first round of their UFC Fight Night main event in August.
His opponent, Saint-Denis, is the number 7-ranked lightweight and last fought in July, losing to Paddy Pimblett by D’Arce choke.
However, the ‘God of War’ is no stranger to Aussie soil, emerging victorious over New Zealand’s Dan Hooker at UFC 325: Volkanovski vs Lopes 2 in Sydney in February.
