Australian superstar Tim Tszyu will defend home turf against former unified world champion Errol ‘The Truth’ Spence Jr. in one of the biggest fights ever staged on Australian soil, with the blockbuster super welterweight showdown locked in for Sunday, July 26, live from Australia.
Tszyu (27-3, 18 KOs), undefeated in Australia, steps into the biggest fight of his career against one of the defining fighters of this era, with the opportunity to cement his place back at the top of the division in front of a home crowd.
The 31-year-old is coming off back-to-back wins, including a dominant performance over Denis Nurja, and remains firmly in the world title picture following a run that has seen him defeat the likes of Tony Harrison, Brian Mendoza and Carlos Ocampo.
The bout marks the long-awaited return of Spence, a former WBC, WBA and IBF welterweight world champion and long-time pound-for-pound contender, who now steps up to 154 pounds for the first time.
Spence (28-1, 22 KOs) returns for the first time in nearly three years following his 2023 showdown with Terence Crawford, bringing both pedigree and power into a new division.
A 2012 U.S. Olympian, Spence built his reputation the hard way — travelling to the UK to stop Kell Brook for his first world title before unifying the division with a dominant win over Yordenis Ugas. At his peak, he was widely considered the benchmark at welterweight.
His career has also been defined by resilience, overcoming both a life-threatening car crash in 2019 and a detached retina in 2021 to return to the top of the sport.

Tim Tszyu’s showdown against Errol Spence Jr. will be broadcast live and exclusively in Australia on Main Event, available via Kayo Sports and Foxtel.
The event will also be available in the United States on PBC Pay-Per-View, live on Prime Video.
