Israel Adesanya demolishes Paulo Costa at UFC 253 in Abu Dhabi

Israel Adesanya has done it again, creating another iconic moment in dismantling Paulo Costa.

The undefeated Kiwi made it look easy against Costa at UFC 253 in Abu Dhabi, picking up a TKO win in the second round.

In a fight that many fans were calling skill v brawn, Adesanya showed once again why skill trumps all while keeping his undefeated streak alive.

Adesanya looked a step ahead from the opening bell, picking his shots and damaging Costa’s lead leg with perfectly timed kicks in the first round.

The kicks slowed the Brazilian down as Adesanya showcased a level of striking unlike any other in the UFC.

Adesanya eventually landed a huge head kick that visibly stunned Costa, before following it up with a barrage of punches before the ref was forced to wave off the fight.

After the fight, Adesanya called for a fight with Jarred Cannoneer should he get past his next fight with former middleweight champion Robert Whittaker

The win brings Adesanya professional MMA career to 20-0. The win was also Adesanya’s 100th win as a professional fighter in a career that spans kickboxing, boxing and MMA.
