Combat8 have released the finalised C8:04 fight card which will take place at the Newcastle Panthers Club in NSW on November 9.

The show will be headlined by a welterweight title fight between Commonwealth Games Boxer turned MMA fighter Dane Mulivai (pictured), and Muay Thai fighter Daniel Kerr.

The promotion’s featherweight, middleweight and light heavyweight titles will also be up for grabs on the night, and returning to the lineup, Rob Lisita is now set to square off with Kiwi Matt Te Paa.

Undefeated in all forms of combat sports, ‘King’ Dane Mulivai will go into his second Combat8 appearance on the back of a first round knockout of Matt Stapleford, who he put away with a looping left hook late last year at the promotion’s debut offering. Mulivai also recently won his MMA debut against Jay Cobain with a technical knockout back in July.

His opponent, Daniel Kerr, was originally slated to meet Ben Alloway on the card, before the former UFC fighter was forced off through injury. The Kiwi South Pacific Muay Thai champion (54-32-3) fights out of Woy Woy in NSW, and also holds a 3-2-1 MMA record.

Following Rob Lisita’s withdrawal from the card due to contractual issues with Rebel FC, experienced Muay Thai fighter Glen Purvis steps in to challenge Port Macquarie’s Sam Bastin for the featherweight strap.

Cleared to fight some weeks later, Lisita now returns to face Kiwi MMA veteran Matt Te Paa in the lightweight division. The two fighters will meet in a battle of Phuket clubs with Lisita training out of the Top Team gym and Te Paa out of Tiger Muay Thai.

Ben Quarmby began his MMA journey in the amateur ranks of the XFC before going on to build an undefeated 3-0 professional record in the promotion. The Orange, NSW fighter will meet Sydney Boxer, Kerry Foley for the middleweight title.

Thirty eight year-old Tongan born, Walter Pupua, and NSW’s Emosi Solitua will square off in a battle of the Boxers as the two men vie for the Combat8 light heavyweight title.

Duel Rugby international Timana Tahu, who was previously announced to compete at the show, has according to the promotion, been ruled out due to an injury sustained while playing in the 43rd Annual Aboriginal Rugby League Knockout.

    Fight Card:

    • Dane Mulivai vs Daniel Kerr (Welterweight Title)
    • Sam Bastin vs Glen Purvis (Featherweight Title)
    • Kerry Foley vs Ben Quarmby (Middleweight Title)
    • Emosi Solitua vs Walter Pupua (Light Heavyweight Title)
    • Rob Lisita vs Matt Te Paa
    • Charlie Alaniz vs Shane Parker
    • Warren Tresidder vs Robbie Harris
    • Hugo Miller vs Tony Inkersole
