London based MMA promotion, Cage Warriors Fighting Championships revealed today that they have signed Australian duo Ben Alloway (pictured right) and Damien Brown (pictured left) on exclusive contracts for at least the next 18 months which includes a minimum of five fights.

Although the pair train at separate teams in Australia, both Alloway and Brown have a strong friendship and earlier this year spent time training with Marc Fiore at Altitude MMA in Colorado, USA.

It will be a return to the promotion for Alloway whom defeated Brazilian fighter Mauro Chimento Jr. back in 2012 at Cage Warriors – Fight Night 3; before his tenure in the UFC. Alloway started his UFC career with a spectacular ‘KO of the Night’ win against Manuel Rodriguez in front of his home-crowd but then then dropped two in a row and was given his walking papers. Alloway was scheduled to compete in both Brace and Combat8, but an injury forced him off those events and is likely to keep Alloway from making his CWFC return until early 2014.

“I’m very grateful to Graham Boylan and the Cage Warriors family for welcoming me back to one of the most respected organisations in the world, and I’m really looking forward to stepping on their canvas again,” said Alloway via the press-release.

“CWFC is the best thing for my career at this stage and I don’t plan to disappoint them for bringing me back. My plans for the division are simple; get back to finishing fights, one at a time, and eventually become champion,” the Gold Coast based fighter added.

After a small stint at featherweight where he most recently defeated New Zealand fighter Scott MacGregor, Integrated Martial Arts fighter Damien Brown will return back to the lightweight division. The Legend FC, Brace and Nitro veteran has won four of his last five fights which includes wins over the likes of Rob Hill and Haotian Wu.

“I am stoked be apart of the Cage Warriors roster for the first time after watching there show for the past couple years,” Brown told Fight News Australia.

“I feel that I can make some real noise in what is a strong Lightweight roster.  I appreciate that I’ve been given the opportunity and I look forward to fighting as soon as they can fit me on a card.”

Cage Warriors has grown to be one of the leading promotions in Europe, however events are not limited to Europe having held shows in the USA, Jordan, Lebanon and Chechnya. In fact, Cage Warriors are looking at holding an event this December in Baghdad, Iraq. Events are simulcast live online, with Cage Warrior Fighting Championships events also featuring on ESPN Australia.
