Hex Fight Series debuts in Western Australia this Saturday night with the Victorian based promotion showcasing a massive 15-fight lineup at Metro City in Perth.

Hex Fight Series 10, which is headlined by a welterweight title fight between Victorian Kitt Campbell and Kiwi fighter John Vake, will make history as the first professionally sanctioned event to be held in the state after the controversial WA cage ban was lifted earlier last month. The promotion was also the first to host a pro event in Victoria following the scrapping of the cage ban in that state back in 2014.

Fox Sports will have a delayed broadcast of Saturday night’s event the following Sunday morning, according to promotion officials.

Currently riding a three fight win streak, Melbourne’s Kitt Campbell (7-2) has looked impressive since making his Hex debut last year, picking up first round KO wins against Matt Cain, Kael Coster and most recently the previously undefeated Aldin Bates, who he derailed with a highlight reel KO in April.

Also enjoying a three fight win streak, on the other side of the headliner fight John Vake (11-3) has found further success in recent times fighting in China with the Auckland local’s last win coming in the form of a unanimous decision this past January competing in the WKG promotion.

In the co-main event, experienced Glenn Sparv of Finland takes on tough Kiwi middleweight Brandon Ropati.

Fighting all over the globe following his debut over eight years ago, Sparv (14-4) makes his Perth return on Saturday night after submitting Japan’s Kazuma Maruyama in the Bragging Rights promotion back in 2015. Most recently, the 28 year-old scored a first round stoppage against Yuki Sasaki at AFC 18 in China this past April.

Now based in Sydney, Ropati (8-2), meanwhile, will be eager to get back on track after dropping a unanimous decision to South Australian standout Shane Mitchell at Diamondback FC 2.

Saturday night’s lineup is littered with intriguing matchups including a featherweight tilt between Jordan Cameron and Daniel Jones.

Also slated for the night, following his first loss at the hands of Kitt Campbell, entertaining local fighter Aldin Bates (5-1) takes on South Australia’s Luke Howard (4-1) at welterweight.

The event will also mark the return of undefeated ATT Sydney’s Suman Mokhtarian (6-0) who tapped Magana Kiewon with a rare teepee submission at Hex Fight Series 9 (viral video). The 25 year-old featherweight will now meet Malyasia’s Sam Chan (5-2).
