Match-ups for the Brisbane UFC Fight Night 33 card continue to be confirmed with Ryan Bader vs Anthony Perosh as well as Caio Magalhaes vs Nick Ring being announced in recent days.

UFC Fight Night 33 is set to be held at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre in Queensland on December 7 and will be headlined by an important heavyweight clash between Mark Hunt & Antonio Silva while James Te Huna faces former UFC Light-Heavyweight title holder Mauricio “Shogun” Rua in the co-main event.

The match-up of Australian Anthony Perosh (14-7) and Arizona based Ryan Bader (15-4) comes as no surprise to many as Perosh indicated he was keen to face Bader on the card. After being defeated in 7-seconds by Ryan Jimmo in July 2012, Sydney based Perosh bounced back last month when he knocked-out Vinny Magalhaes in 14-seconds. The win was Perosh’s fourth in his five UFC fights at Light-Heavyweight. Prior to that, Perosh had gone 0-3 as a heavyweight in the UFC.

Bader’s UFC record is 8-4 and if you take into account that four losses have occurred to Jon Jones, Tito Ortiz, Lyoto Machida and Glover Teixeira, the record looks even more impressive however with only one win in his last three fights, Bader will be eager to get his career back on track.

Canadian Nick Ring (13-2) will return to Australia when he faces Brazilian Caio Magalhaes in a middleweight clash. Ring made his UFC debut back at UFC 127, when he come out on the winning side of a decision against Riki Fukuda.  Since then Ring has gone 2-2 in his four outings, most recently losing a split points decision to Chris Camozzi.

Magalhaes made his MMA debut after starting his career with five straight wins. Magalhaes’ UFC debut was an unsuccessful when he was defeated by Buddy Roberts. The Brazilian returned a year later and in front of his home country, Magalhaes submitted Karlos Vemola to take his MMA record to 6-1.

    Fight Card Announced so far:

    • Mark Hunt vs Antonio Silva
    • Mauricio Rua vs James Te Huna
    • Pat Barry vs Soa Palelei
    • Dylan Andrews vs Clint Hester
    • Ryan Bader vs Anthony Perosh
