The Kiwi Contingent has got off to a cracking start at UFC Auckland.

Kai Kara-France put on a clinical display in front of a raucous Auckland crowd at Spark Arena to pick up a unanimous decision win. He picked up scores of 30-27 on all three of the judges’ scorecards.

Kai was the more active fighter through the duration of the fight and while Nam often led, Kai landed the cleaner blows.

“Ever since I started MMA when I was 10 years old it was my dream to fight in the UFC and fight at Spark Arena,” Kai said in his post-fight interview.

The number 8 ranked Kai Kara-France bounces back after being defeated by Brandon Moreno late last year.

The win improves Kai’s record to 21-8 (1nc).
