A flyweight battle between New South Wales based Commonwealth Games wrestler Shane Parker and Perth newcomer Justin Cobby headlines Urban Fight Night 6 on Sunday.
The event takes place at the Whitlam Leisure Centre in Liverpool, Sydney and will be the second offering from the promotion to feature pro fights following UFN 5 in December, which saw Tai “Bam Bam” Tuivasa make quick work of Gul Pohatu in the main event (fight video). All up, 16 fights are slated for Sunday’s show, which has a start time of 5pm.
The Urban Fight Night 6 co-main event will see local Lion’s High Performance prospect Tyson Pedro square off with Trinity MMA Adelaide’s Michael Fitzgerald in a 93 kg pro tilt.
Headlining the amateur fights on the night will be a featherweight title fight between undefeated prospects Brad Shortland (NOVA MMA) and Robby Lara (UFCCBD/ROOTS).
Among other fights scheduled for the show, hard-hitting IMC welterweight Adam Rehayem returns to the promotion following his first round stoppage of Joshua Murphy in December this time to face Focas MMA’s Rob Viero. Meanwhile, entertaining ATT striker Sani-faavae Laititi will be looking to back up his 13-second KO victory in December when he faces the undefeated Keegan Richmond from Hulk MMA at 84 kg.
