Australian Top Team members Sam Kei and Suman Mokhtarian have joined previously announced Michael Tobin & Pat Promrangka on the Rebel Fighting Championships 2 card set for August 1.

The event takes place at the Suntec Convention and Exhibition Centre in Singapore.

Both Kei and Mokhtarian will compete on the undercard of the event, which is set to be headlined by the first-round of the promotions featherweight tournament where Australian fighters Pat Promrangka (pictured left) and Michael Tobin (pictured right) have been drawn to face each-other. The likes of Miguel Torres, Will Chope and Yojiro Uchimara are all set to compete in the tournament.

The winners in the tournament bouts will progress to the next round scheduled at a later date this year with the semi-finals and finals both scheduled to be contested on the one night.

Kei is the reigning Nitro light-heavyweight champion but will be looking at redeeming himself after losing out to South Australian Michael Turner in his last outing. The powerful striker has a notable wins over the likes of Api Hemara, Hale Vaa’sa and Chris Lokteff.

His opponent will be 25 year-old South Korean fighter Doo Hwan Kim. The Korean Top Team member last competed back in December on Rebel FC 1 where he scored a first-round TKO finish over Chris Hofmann. A win here would be his third in a row.

A featherweight fighter, Suman Mokhtarian fought on the promotions first event back in December where he defeated local fighter Mubarak Abdat in an amateur bout. The Australian Top Team owner returns now to try to make it two wins from as many fights in the promotion when he faces another fighter from Singapore in Ashraf Bin Shafi, who like Mokhtarian was also successful at Rebel FC 1.

Also notably, Kenny Yeung who spent time training in Melbourne and is now based out of Hong Kong is also scheduled to fight on the card against Silvio Romero da Silva.

    Fight Card:

    • Reydon Romero vs Yojiro Uchimura – Featherweight tournament
    • Michael Tobin vs Pat Promrangka – Featherweight tournament
    • Miguel Torres vs Takahiro Ashida – Featherweight tournament
    • Will Chope vs Mauricio dos Santos Jr – Featherweight tournament
    • Silvio Romero da Silva vs Kenny Yeung
    • Doo Hwan Kim vs Sam Kei
    • Kris Barras vs Gyo Pyung Hwang
    • Syafiq Abdul Bin Samad vs TBA
