Local featherweight Ryan Gray bounced back from a recent loss to defeat Bowen Cornish via submission in the main event of Eternal MMA 11.
The event took place for the first time in the state of Western Australia at the Italian Club in Perth on Saturday night. Due to the cage ban in Western Australia, the event was held in a ring.
Training out of the MMA Clinic, Gray submitted Sydney based Cornish with a triangle choke early in the second round to take his professional record to 6-1. Cornish drops to a reported 7-2 and will look to rebound on Brace 36 where he is scheduled to face Mark Baskin.
Also on the card in professional bouts, Michael Addison from Evolution MMA submitted Harley Howe with a rear-naked choke while Mitch Martin needed only 73-seconds to catch Ryan Robertson in a triangle choke. Kickass MMA trained Dean Abramo left it late to submit his opponent Dai Jenkins with an armbar in the third round.
