After losing their opening round fights on The Ultimate Fighter, Australia’s Alex Chambers and Bec Rawlings have had their finale opponents officially announced by the promotion earlier today.
The finale takes place on December 12 at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, USA and will feature the crowning of the inaugural strawweight champion.
Based out of Sydney and training out of VT-1, Alex Chambers will face Irish fighter Aisling Daly while Bec Rawlings will go to battle against Heather Clark.
On the reality show, 36 year-old Chambers was submitted in her opening fight by Rose Namajunas who went on to make the semi-finals. In the opening round, Aisling Daly progressed past her opponent with a third-round TKO before losing a unanimous decision to Jessica Penne.
Chambers and Daly built up a friendship which was visible during the episodes of The Ultimate Fighter, however will now need to put that to the side as they battle for their UFC careers.
Friendship is not something you would associate between Bec Rawlings and her opponent Heather Clark. Both on numerous occasions got under each others skins during the reality show and will now get a chance to settle their differences in the cage.
Fighting out of Gamebred MMA and preparing for the fight at Alliance MMA in San Diego, Rawlings lost a unanimous decision in her opening TUF fight to Tecia Torres, while Clark also went down, proving no match for Felice Herrig.
