Peter Graham makes his Kickboxing return next week in Dubai with the Aussie combat sports veteran scheduled to compete in a four-man, one-night championship Kickboxing tournament at Global Fighting Championship 3.

The heavyweight tournament will headline a night of Kickboxing and Mixed Martial Arts at the Dubai World Trade Centre on Thursday, May 29.

Graham will be competing against the likes of Badr Hari, Stefan Leko and Arnold Oborotov for the chance to take home 1,000,000 AED in prize money (approximately $293,784 AUD).

In his semi-final fight, ‘The Chief’ will need to get past Lithuania’s Arnold Oborotov, while the other side of the draw will see Badr Hari take on Stefan Leko. Should the Aussie come up against Badr Hari in the final, it will be the third time that the two K-1 veterans have fought each other. As it currently stands both men boast one win a piece with Hari taking their last encounter by decision at the 2007 K-1 World GP.

Also slated for the event, Phuket based Gold Coast native Gokhan Turkyilmaz and Kiwi Luke Jumeau, who currently trains along side Turkyilmaz at the Phuket Top Team gym, will face Vaughn Donayre and Hossein Mollamahdi respectively.

No stranger to fighting internationally, Turkyilmaz (11-10) returns to the global stage following his impressive 29 second TKO of Alex MacDonald at Nitro 11. Turkyilmaz, 26, will meet 34 year-old Filipino Vaughn Donayre (7-0) who remains undefeated after seven pro appearances with the bulk of his fights taking place under the URCC banner. The two fighters will square off in the lightweight division.

This will be New Zealand’s Luke Jumeau’s (4-3) first fight training out of the Phuket Top Team gym as the 26 year-old Kiwi looks to turn around a two-fight losing streak. His opponent for the welterweight clash will be Hossein Mollamahdi, 21, who is currently undefeated after three outings.

    Heavyweight Championship Tournament:

    • Badr Hari vs Stefan Leko
    • Arnold Oborotov vs Peter Graham

    Other Matchups:

    • Peter Aerts vs Dewey Cooper
    • Singh Heart Jaideep vs Fatih Ulusoy
    • Brian Douwes vs Srdjan Seles
    • Abbas Mollamahdi vs Erkan Varol
    • Gokhan Turkyilmaz vs Vaughn Donayre
    • Luke Jumeau vs Hossein Mollamahdi
    • Kamran Morovati vs Darco Jeremic
