After both fighters where victorious at Brace 19, calls immediately went out to give Damien Brown the next shot at Oriol Gaset’s Brace Lightweight Title. The promotion has obliged with confirmation that the Spaniard Oriol Gaset will defend his Brace Lightweight Title against Damien Brown in Townsville, Queensland on October 26.
Brace confirmed the fight on Wednesday night.
Since moving from Spain and basing himself at the KMA team in Sydney, Gaset has made a name for himself locally in the lightweight division with victories over Nick Patterson, Jacob Pettit, Greg Atzori and most recently a first round TKO over Sonny Brown which captured him the Brace Lightweight Title.
On the same card, Intergrated MMA fighter Damien Brown took on fellow Legend Fighting Championships fighter Rob Hill. Brown edged out Hill to win the unanimous decision which earned him a second chance at the Brace Lightweight Title. Back at Brace 11, Damien Brown was looking to capture the title, but Sonny Brown stole it from him with a third-round gogoplata submission.
Shows in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Canberra are also on the drawing board for Brace however nothing has been locked in.
Brace Townsville will be held at the Townsville Entertainment and Convention Centre on October 26.
