Peter Graham outstruck a depleted looking Mighty Mo for 2 and a half rounds today at Bellator 111, before tapping to a head-arm choke in the dying minutes.

The K1 veterans met in the opening round of the promotion’s season 10 heavyweight tournament at the Winstar World Casino in Oklahoma, USA.

It’s now 2 consecutive defeats for ‘The Chief’ after kicking off his Bellator campaign with a win over Eric Prindle back in October of last year.

The main event of the night saw defending champion, Eduardo Dantas, submit Anthony Leone to retain the bantamweight crown.

    Round 1:

Graham forces Mo up against the cage and works short shots to the body. Mo returns fire with body shots of his own before tripping to the canvas. He’s soon standing, and the Aussie lands a knee as Mo swings wildly. Mo looking tired already. Graham lands a pair of leg kicks. Graham lands a nice uppercut as the fighters clinch. The Aussie lands with another leg kick. A left hook followed by short right hand soon after is all Mo can muster as Graham closes out the opening period with multiple knees.

    Round 2:

Graham continues to punish the left leg of Mo as the second round gets underway. Mo rushes forward and ties the Aussie up against the fence as he searches for a single leg. He gets it soon after and drags Graham to the canvas at the 4 minute mark. Mo is unable to inflict any real damage once there, however, as he lands a few sloppy short shots. Graham is now back to his feet and lands an uppercut as the two men clinch. They separate and Graham continues with the leg kicks. Looking exhausted, Mo swings wildly as Graham again lands a leg kick. They clinch again and Graham lands a knee to Mo’s midsection. Graham works the body with a kick, however, Mo keeps hold of the leg and drags the Aussie back to the canvas once more and the round ends soon after.

    Round 3:

The third round begins with Graham opening up with more kicks. He lands a knee soon after and Mo again uses it to take him down. Mo soon locks up an head-arm choke and forces the tap at 2:31 of the round.
