Australian based Martin Nguyen has been added to the next One Championship and will face Chinese fighter Li Kai Wen.
The event, One: Global Rivals takes place at the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines on April 15.
After capturing the Brace featherweight title back in November 2013, KMA trained Nguyen did not make his One Championship debut until a year later where he submitted Rocky Batolbatol. He then lost via submission to current champion Marat Gafurov before bouncing back in November, defeating Edward Kelly.
Nguyen will come against Chinese youngster Li Kai Wen who will be stepping up to face his most experienced opponent to date after winning four straight inside the One Championship promotion. His last win was against fellow countryman Sen Yang this past January via Decision.
Nguyen will finish his camp at AKA Thailand and joins Australian based Reece McLaren and Natalie Gonzales Hills on the event.
The event will be headlined by Ben Askren as he defends his One welterweight title against Russian fighter Nikolay Aleksakhin.
