Kyle Noke makes his return at UFC Adelaide, faces Swedish fighter Andreas Stahl

Kyle Noke (20-7-1 MMA, 4-3 UFC) is the latest Australian fighter to join the UFC Adelaide lineup, with the local veteran slated to meet promising Swedish fighter Andreas Stahl (9-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) at the event.

News of the matchup was first revealed by couriermail.com.au.

UFC Fight Night: Miocic vs Hunt takes place at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on May 10, and will see Australian based knockout artist Mark Hunt and Stipe Miocic collide in the main event. The promotion’s South Australian debut will feature a host of local talent with 11 Trans-Tasman fighters currently announced to fight.

Due to a knee injury suffered leading up to his September 2014 clash with Yoshihiro Akiyama in Japan, it will be just over 12 months between fights for Noke when he makes octagon return in Adelaide. The 34 year-old welterweight hasn’t fought since dropping a unanimous decision to Canada’s Patrick Cote back in April last year. A veteran of over 28 fights, Noke will no doubt be looking to recapture the form which saw him TKO Charlie Brenneman in just 45 seconds at UFC 152, his last victory under the UFC banner.

The Aussie will need to get past 26 year-old Swede Andreas Stahl. ‘Real Steel’ was enjoying an impressive nine-fight win streak, on various European promotions, before coming up against Gilbert Burns in his UFC debut last July. On the night, Stahl found himself on the wrong side of the judge’s scorecards losing a unanimous decision.

Tickets for UFC Fight Night: Miocic vs Hunt go on sale for the general public Thursday, March 5 and are priced at $290.76, $204.92, $119.74, $108.54 and $62.90. UFC Fight Club members will have the opportunity to purchase tickets on Tuesday March 3 at 12 p.m. ACDT. A special internet ticket presale will be available to UFC newsletter subscribers Wednesday March 4, starting at 12 p.m. ACDT. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketek.

The event is expected to be shown live in Australia on Fox Sports.

    Fight Card:

    • Stipe Miocic vs Mark Hunt
    • Brad Tavares vs Robert Whittaker
    • Anthony Perosh vs Sean O’Connell
    • Jake Matthews vs James Vick
    • Bec Rawlings vs Seo Hee Ham
    • Kyle Noke vs Andreas Stahl
