The win is Kara-France’s 8th straight victory and 3rd in a row in the UFC.

The two fighters’ circled each other early with Kara-France preventing De la Rosa from taking him to the mat. A massive right hand from Kara-France in the second round rocked De La Rosa to the floor, making him wary of Kara-France’s power for the remainder of the fight.

De La Rosa recovered well but more body shots from Kara-France in the third round put De La Rosa on the back foot once more. Kara-France won the fight on all three judges’ scorecards.

Kara-France made it clear early in the week that he wanted to fight at UFC 243 in Melbourne should he be successful at UFC Shenzhen.
