After a less than successful first event, Roshambo promotions will look to change things up as it returns for their second event scheduled to occur at the Chandler Theatre in Brisbane Queensland on June 1.

Announced to be one of the headlining acts is a Roshambo Middleweight Title Fight between Integrated MMA Sunshine Coast fighter Rob “The Hillybilliy” Giuffrida who will meet Ian “The Hitman” Bone.

The match-up was made official by the promotion on social media on Monday.

Coincidentally both fighters were in the corner of Anton Zafir as he took on Alex Volkanovski in the main event of Roshambo 1 earlier this month with Zafir previously spending time training with both fighters.

Bone will move up from his normal weight division of welterweight in an attempt to get himself more fights however will not be able to put too much size on, with the Townsville based fighter also scheduled to defend his Nitro Welterweight MMA title in August against Corey Nelson.

Bone’s last appearance inside a cage came back in July where he defeated Ben Mortimer with a rear-naked choke submission. Bone has kept himself busy though and recently made his professional boxing debut where he lost a close split points decision.

After nearly 18 months away from competitive fight, Giuffrida made a comeback in front of his home-crowd last month when he defeated Paul Ranse via a first round TKO at Warriors Realm. Since losing his debut back in 2009, Giuffrida’s only loss in his last five outings has come to recent victorious UFC fighter Dylan Andrews. In that fight, Andrews stopped Giuffrida in the second round. Giuffrida also has a common opponent win over Tasmanian Jade Jordan.

Back in 2009, Bone looked in control early before a late comeback got Jordan the upset win. Since then though, Bone has defeated the likes of Tony Rossini and Manuel Rodriguez with many considering him very unlucky to miss out on The Ultimate Fighter: Australia vs U.K season.

The fight will be contested under 5×5 minute rounds with further match-ups set to be announced shortly.
