C4 MMA fighter Luke Morris will look to continue his impressive form at flyweight when he takes on Edwin Arana in the main event of Unarmed Combat Unleashed 3 this Saturday night. The two will clash for the promotions flyweight title.

UPDATE: Unarmed Combat Unleashed 3 will stream live at Fight News Australia via Go Fight Live for US$9.99. Click through here to order.

The promotion has moved from Emerald for the first time, with the event set to take place at the Hegvold Stadium in Rockhampton, Queensland.

Since dropping to flyweight, Luke “The Wasp” Morris lost a competitive bout against highly regarded Australian based American Ben Nguyen, before rebounding to defeat Michael Roger and most recently Chris Morris to capture the Nitro flyweight title. Arana also appeared on the Nitro card where he defeated Ashkan Mokhtarian in a bantamweight fight. The former Brace title holder drops to flyweight for the first time.

In the co-main event, undefeated Sam Kitchener from the Ronin Academy will face off against Cairns based fighter Mick Bosworth in a lightweight clash. Kitchener has won all his professional bouts via submission, most recently defeating Jasper Jessen back in August on Carnage In The Cage. Bosworth competed at the last UCU event where he scored a first-round TKO win over Kris Shaw.

Also on the main card, Shindo New Breed fighter Zach Hansford will make his professional debut when he meets Eddie “Chocolate Thunder” Trewin. Training out of Mackay MMA, Trewin will be eager to get back in the winners column after recently getting stopped by David Butt in the first-round.

A previously scheduled heavyweight fight between Andrew Machin and Simon Osborne will once again have to wait after it was scrapped from the card earlier today after Machin was forced out due to a cut. Also scrapped is a featherweight bout between Jai Bradney and Rory O’Connell after Bradney was forced to withdraw due to personal reasons.

    Main Card (Pro):

    • Edwin Arana vs Luke Morris – UCU Flyweight Title
    • Sam Kitchener vs Mick Bosworth
    • Zach Hansford vs Eddie Trewin

    Undercard (Amateur):

    • Regan Hyde vs Cameron Tu Kua
    • Keohu Smith vs Ben Simpson
    • Elizabeth Warner vs Jodie Struzik
    • Will Motu vs Matt Cooper
    • Chris Hay vs Paul Franchy
    • Anthony Blundel vs Joe Pollock
    • Justin Van Heerdan vs Steve Varga
    • Chris Rower vs Ryan Bishop
    • Bo George vs Glen Andrews
