Four-time Australian Judo representative, Daniel Kelly will be looking at making it 3-0 in the UFC when he meets Sam Alvey on the UFC Fight 65 card. The match-up was confirmed during the week by UFC officials.
The event will take place at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre in Adelaide, South Australia on May 10 and will be headlined by a heavyweight clash between the “Super Samoan” Mark Hunt and Stipe Miocic.
Based in Melourne, 37 year-old Kelly brings an undefeated 9-0 record into the bout but will be eager to put behind him the lackluster decision win over Patrick Walsh last month. Prior to that, Kelly submitted Luke Zachrich in November.
Team Quest trained Sam Alvey has got his wish with the 28 year-old notably calling out Kelly after his KO victory over Cezar Ferreira a fortnight ago. A veteran of over thirty bouts, Alvey will bring a 25-6, 1 no-contest record which also includes a win over Gold Coast based Dylan Andrews.
