After a breakthrough performance at the ADCC World Championships last weekend, Australian Craig Jones backed it up competing in the 5th edition of Chael Sonnen’s Submission Underground event on Sunday.
It took place at the Roseland Theatre in Portland, Oregon and was broadcast live via FloGrappling.com
Facing 10-1 MMA fighter Ben Egli in a submission only bout, Absolute MMA & BJJ trained Jones secured a heel-hook to get the tap inside the distance.
Also on the card, former UFC fighter Phil Baroni put up a spirited fight before ultimately being submitted with a rear-naked choke in overtime by ADCC silver medalist while Amanda Diggins tapped Sarah Kaufman with an armbar, also in overtime.
