Queensland based promotion Roshambo have announced that Jai Bradney will return to action when he comes up against the promotions lightweight champion – Alex Volkanovski for the lightweight title.

News of the match-up was announced on social media for Roshambo 3 which will be held on July 26 and will again take place at the Chandler Theatre in the Brisbane suburb of Chandler.

Volkanovski brings a 4-1 record into the fight and has won two-straight since making the drop to lightweight. Volkanovski captured the Roshambo lightweight title when he choked unconcious Greg Atzori at Roshambo 2 in February. The freestyle fighting gym member was scheduled to face Rodolfo Marques at AFC 8, however a golden staph infection forced him out of the fight.

Jai Bradney (15-9) is a familiar name to many Australian fans and has fought professionally since 2007. He has defeated the likes of Rob Hill, Ian Schaffa, Shane Wundenberg and Nick Honstein. Bradney will be looking to bounce back in the lightweight ranks after losing back-to-back fights to Ben Wall and Adrian Pang. His last outing was back in June 2013.

Fight News Australia can also announce that Jessy ‘Jess’ Rose-Clark (3-1) and Lana Kate (2-1) will clash for the Roshambo women’s bantamweight title on the card.

Rose-Clark will first need to overcome Kate Da Silva at XFC on June 14 before backing up for the title fight at Roshambo. The Integrated MMA fighter is coming off a first-round submission over Zoie Shreiweis at Unarmed Combat Unleashed 2 and also has win over women’s boxing world champion Arlene Blencowe.

Based out of the Victoria, Lana “The Black Mamba” Kate will go into the fight on the back of two consecutive wins against Amy Adam, with the last fight going down at AFC 5 back in May 2013. After a bit of an inactive spell, Kate will be eager to get back into the cage.

Further announcements are expected shortly by the promotion.
