Following his impressive UFC 273 main event outing against “The Korean Zombie”, Australia’s Alexander Volkanovski has earned himself a US$50,000 ‘Performance of the Night’ bonus.
Volkanovski dominated the encounter with the referee Herb Dean forced to intervene early in the fourth round after Chan Sung Jung was eating too many shots.
The other ‘Performance of the Night’ bonus went to Alexey Oleynik who secured a slick first-round submission against Jared Vanderaa.
For anyone that watched the event, it’s no surprise that the ‘Fight of the Night’ was claimed by Khamzat Chimaev and Gilbert Burns who put on a barnburner Fight of the Year contender in the welterweight division with Chimaev keeping his undefeated record intact with the decision victory.
UFC 273 took place at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Florida, USA and was broadcast live on Mainevent PPV.
