Australian featherweight Alex Volkanovski has his first international assignment following his signing with Guam based Pacific Xtreme Combat last month. The 25 year-old will square off with local favorite Kyle ‘Boom’ Reyes at PXC 45.

PXC 45 is scheduled for October 24 at the UOG Field House in Mangilao, Guam. Fans of ‘The Hulk’ can watch a live stream of the event at Livestream.com.

Currently riding a four-fight win streak, Volkanovski (7-1) has enjoyed a fast rise to prominence on the local scene since making his debut in 2012. An impressive six of his seven victories have ended within the distance, with his lone loss coming at the hands of one of the best locally in Corey Nelson at welterweight.

Hailing from Shellharbour in NSW, Volkanovski is now based at the Tiger Muay Thai camp in Phuket, Thailand, and recently spoke about the experience of training with the top-tier fight team in a video interview.

His opponent for the fight, Guahan Top Team’s Kyle Reyes, holds a 5-2 record, with all his fights coming under the PXC banner. His last outing for the promotion back in June resulted in a first round submission win over Josh Sapinoso (0-1).
