Sydney’s Alex “Hitman” Gorgees will welcome Adelaide based Goran Olujic at Urban Fight Night 11 on Saturday night. The lightweight matchup will serve as the main event as the promotion once again returns to the Whitlam Leisure Centre in Western Sydney with another massive pro-am lineup.
Fighting out of the ATT gym, Gorgees will have momentum behind him on Saturday night after stopping New Zealand’s Stevie Kopeke at the promotion’s last offering Urban Fight Night 10. The second round victory made it two wins in a row for the 21 year-old, a former UFN amateur lightweight champion, who opened his pro account with a victory against Sammy Croke late last year in the Aftershock promotion.
Cardio-Flex MMA’s Goran Olujic will no doubt be eager to spoil the hometown favorite’s night and bounce back after losing to Lachlan Dart at Diamondback FC 2.
Submission specialists Phillip Kim and Mitchell Birkett will both be looking to clock up consecutive victories when the two flyweights lock horns in the co-main event.
A BJJ Brown belt training out of the SPMA concord gym, Kim is coming off a first round submission of Andrew Youssef at UNF 10. Meanwhile, Birkett, a Gracie Barra Central Coast purple belt, also picked up a quick fire submission in his last outing, submitting Adam Ozkan at UFN 9.
