Daniel Hooker vs Nick Patterson – AFC Lightweight Title
Daniel Hooker weathered a fired up Nick Patterson in the AFC 6 main event tonight and successfully defended the AFC lightweight title for the second time.
Round 1:
Patterson opens the headliner with a punch combination and backs it up with a head kick which the champ blocks. Hooker pushes forward and the two men clinch before exchanging knees. Patterson lands with an uppercut as they break. Patterson’s boxing well as the NZ fighter comes forward and gains double underhooks briefly, before they break once more. Hooker blocks a big left hand from the local favorite before Patterson then lands a couple of stiff straights.
Hooker is cut now but proceeds forward and slams Patterson to the canvas, landing into side control. Patterson scrambles and regains his feet soon after. Patterson throws another head kick that Hooker again blocks before landing this time with a short right. As the two lightweights reengage, Patterson lands a looping left hand that rocks the Kiwi, however Hooker continues forward. The round comes to an end with Hooker pushing Patterson up against the ropes. 10-9 Patterson.
Round 2:
Patterson opens round 2 with another combination before driving in and securing a takedown. It’s short lived however as Hooker soon after is back up. Nice right hand lands from hooker as they meet once more. Patterson drops down for a leg but the champ does well to remain standing before landing short body shots as the fighters clinch. As they separate, Hooker lands a big elbow then follows it up with a solid left that backs Patterson up. Patterson looks to be slowing now as Hooker pushes the pace. Spinning back fist misses from Patterson as Hooker clinches and lands more short body shots. Another elbow finds its mark from Hooker as they separate and the round ends. 10-9 Hooker.
Round 3:
Hooker looking fresh as the third round begins. Patterson throws a body kick but Hooker blocks it and continues to punish the Aussie’s midriff. Hooker unleashes another body shot and Patterson drops to his knees before the champ finishes the fight with a flurry of punches.

Robert Lisita vs Rodolfo Marques
Brazilian standout Rodolfo Marques took early control of the night’s sole featerweight clash with Robert Lisita, before going down in the second round to heavy punches.
Round 1:
After a heated build up to the co-main event, the fighters start the bout with a respectful touch of gloves. As the action begins, Lisita comes out swinging before the two fighters clinch. Lisita sticks to Marques’s ribs before the Brazilian breaks free but gets caught with a head kick in the process. Unshaken, Marques pushes forward and scores a takedown up against the ropes. Lisita shows good strength and gets back to his feet before searching for a single leg. Marques eventually works towards Lisita’s back, and lands knees to the Aussie’s ribs through the ropes, before the ref centers the men. Head kick attempt by Lisita restarts the action as Marques drives him back once more. Lisita reverses position right before the bell. 10-9 Marques.
Round 2:
Both men come out firing shots in the second stanza before Lisita gets driven through the ropes. With both fighters entangled, the referee is forced to reset the action center ring again. As the two men reengage, Lisita lands a big shot that drops the Brazilian and gives the ref no choice but to wave the contest off.

Peter Davenport vs Shaun Wilcock
After a first round submission loss to Dean Purdon at AFC 5, Peter “The Bulldog” Davenport bounced back impressively tonight with a 21 second knockout of Shaun Wilcock to pick up his first pro win.
Round 1:
Both men open the contest with strikes however it’s Davenport who lands a solid punch which drops Wilcock to the canvas. Davenport then pounces and unleashes the final blows as the referee calls a stop to proceedings.

Craig Martin vs Mikey Vaotuua
The promise of a striking war between Craig Martin and Mikey Vaotuua didn’t eventualte as Martin took advantage of Vaotuua’s grappling weaknesses to grind out a unanimous points decision.

Joe Fisher vs Zach Hook
In the opening bout of the evening, Joel fisher defeated Zac Hook via a unanimous points decision.
