After 18 months away from competition, former UFC fighter Dylan Andrews will make his return to the cage in November opposite Brazilian UFC veteran William “Patolino” Macário in Brazil.

Andrews, who previously competed as a middleweight, will drop to the welterweight division for the fight, which takes place on the main card of Fight 2 Night. The event takes place on November 4 at the Marina Da Gloria in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Andrews revealed the news this week via his Facebook page.

We last saw Andrews (15-7-0) in action back at UFC Fight Night 65: Miocic vs. Hunt in Adelaide where he was submitted in the second round by Brad Scott. The defeat was the Ultimate Fighter 17 middleweight’s third straight in the promotion following back-to-back losses to Sam Alvey and Clint Hester. The 36 year-old Gold Coast based Kiwi was subsequently released from the promotion. Andrews notched up two victories under the UFC banner, stopping both Papy Abedi and Jimmy Quinlan by TKO.

Macário (7-3) earned his UFC shot by reaching the final of The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 2. There, however, he was submitted by Leonardo Santos. The 25 year-old Brazilian later bounced back with a decision win against Bobby Voelker, but after KO losses to Neil Magny and Matt Dwyer, he was given his walking papers.
