Victorian based promotion Hex Fight Series held it’s first interstate show last night as it brought a professional caged event to Western Australia for the first time since the cage ban was lifted last month.

The event took place at the Metro City in Perth and was broadcast on delay on Fox Sports Australia today.

In the main event, Kitt Campbell secured his fourth win in a row to claim the promotion’s welterweight title against New Zealand’s John Vake. Campbell controlled over the five rounds to take the bout unanimously with the judges scoring the it 50-46, 50-46 and 50-45.

Campbell’s record moves to 8-2 with the win while Vake dropped to 11-4.

Tiger Muay Thai based Glenn Sparv outworked Brandon Ropati en route to a 30-26, 30-26 and 30-25 decision win. Fighting in Australia for the second, the Finnish born fighter moves to 15-4 while the Sydney based Ropati drops to 8-3.

Also on the card, Daniel Jones edged Jordan Cameron via majority decision while locally based Aldin Bates bounced back in style, securing a first round KO over Luke Howard (see below via @Jolassanda on Twitter).
