For some of us, UFC 1, is where our love for the sport of Mixed Martial Arts first begun. Many memories come from the first event, whether it’s Art Jimmerson coming out with a singular boxing glove or Sumo giant Teila Tuli getting his teeth knocked out within seconds of the opening bout or maybe just the cringe-worthy production level as everyone tried to keep up with what was happening.
For a lot though, it was our first experience of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as Royce Gracie ran through the field to take home the $50,000 prize money.
UFC 1 took place in Denver, Colorado on November 12 and the promotion has recently uploaded the video to watch online.
It’s worthwhile viewing just to reminisce an important part of MMA history.
