    Dustin Poirier gets a second chance at championship glory when he meets UFC lightweight titleholder Charles Oliveira this weekend. The bout headlines UFC 269 with a women’s bantamweight championship bout between champion Amanda Nunes and challenger Julianna Peña serving as the co-main event.

    It is Poirier’s first fight since snapping Conor McGregor’s leg back in July. The former interim titleholder comes into the fight on a three-fight win streak, having not lost since losing to Khabib Nurmagomedov in September 2019.

    Oliveira at one stage an above-average 10 win, 8 loss record in the UFC. A career resurgence has seen the 32-year-old Brazilian win 9 in a row. In his last outing, he stopped Michael Chandler with strikes in the second round to claim the vacant lightweight championship belt.

    The champ will be looking to prove the doubters wrong once against, as he is paying 2.30 according to unibet.com.au at the time of publishing. Poirier on the other hand is 1.63

    The welterweight title fight will be a pay-per-view event, with the main card streaming on Mainevent, Kayo and UFC Fight Pass in Australia for AU$54.95

    The preliminary card will be broadcast live on UFC Fight Pass and ESPN 1 while the earlier prelims exclusive on UFC Fight Pass.

    The bout will take place out of the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas with the main card scheduled to begin at 2pm AEDT.

    The preliminary card commences at midday AEDT with the early prelims scheduled for 10:15am AEDT.
