Fightworld Cup 14 will feature a trio of title fights with the Bantamweight, Featherweight and Middleweight Title fights all set to be contested at the event scheduled to occur on April 13 at the Nerang Police Citizens Youth Club, Gold Coast, Queensland. The event will be jam-packed with 19 fights currently scheduled to appear on the card.

Shindo New Breed fighter Semir Celikovic will headline the event when he makes his defence of the Fightworld Cup Middleweight Title when he meets Taipari Rikihana from the Impact MMA gym in Capalaba, Queensland. Celikovic captured the title with a 19-second TKO victory over Kemara Valentine-Greer on the last Fightworld Cup event in November while Rikihana is coming off a first-round submission win over Luke Ellia at last weekend’s Nitro MMA 8 event.

South Australian based Suasday Chau returns to fight in Queensland for the fifth time in just under a year and will look to continue his good form going when he faces Mitch Heron for the vacant Fightworld Cup Featherweight Title. Chau is coming off an impressive second-round submission victory over Callum Lewis at Fury MMA 5. In Heron’s last outing he submitted Dylan Scott at the last Fightworld Cup event in November.

Toowoomba based Reece Mclaren will be looking at defending his Fightworld Cup Bantamweight Title when he faces Jacob Mahony. McLaren is coming off victories against Pat Promrangka and most recently a second round doctor’s stoppage over Chris Morris to capture the title. Mahony recently bounced back from a disappointing run to defeat Tim Moore at Eternal MMA last September.

After a closely contested first bout, Brentim Mumford and Josh Smith will clash in a rematch with the winner this time earning themselves a shot at Welterweight Champion Dan Pauling at a future event.
