Last year, everyone was impacted by COVID-19 in some way. Among those was the local MMA scene with promotions and fighters across the country forced to take an extended break as the disease started to spread and the country was put in a lockdown from March.
Australia’s most active promotion, Eternal MMA, was riding high, having secured a broadcast deal with UFC Fight Pass. They were able to start 2020 with a bang, holding three shows in the space of 14 days across Australia and New Zealand. Then the world grounded to a halt.
