    Australian Peter Graham defeats Rasulov at GFC in Russia

    Australian Peter Graham continued his fine form in Russia overnight as he defeated Russian Salimgirey Rasulov in the main event of Global Fight Club.

    The event was held in Krasnodar, Russia on Sunday night.

    As the fight started, Graham immediately took centre of the ring as two exchanged early leg kicks. A spinning back-fist from Rasulov connected as the Russian went on the front foot momentarily before both fighters clinched. Once separated Rasulov landed a head kick however had little impact on Graham who continued to stalk Rasulov who kept his distance on the outside circling in both directions. 

    With Rasulov failing to engage. Rasulov attempted another spinning back-fist however this time it missed it’s mark as Rasulov continued circling on the outside and failing to engage with portions of the card this time showing it’s displeasure. Graham finished the round strong landing a nice right and following up with a pair of knees inside the clinch.

    Rasulov started the second round the same and continued circling around the ring before Graham came forward and landed a solid knee. The circling continued before he signalled to the referee that his hand was injured. Rasulov’s corner took the opportunity also throw in the towel, giving Graham the TKO stoppage. The end came at 1:02 of the second-round.

    The Russian was overheard in his corner commenting that he believed his hand was broken. Graham celebrated another win in Russia by doing the entertaining crowd by doing the splits following that up be dancing to Men At Work’s ‘Down Under’.

    The win was Graham’s fourth on Russian soil with Graham previously defeating highly touted Konstantin Gluhov twice as well as the brother of Fedor, Aleksander Emelianenko.

    After only winning one fight in his first six outings, Graham has turned his MMA career around winning his seventh straight fight.
