    One Championship: Reece McLaren victorious with opponent unable to continue

    Reece McLaren connects vs Windson Ramos (Source: ONE Championship)

    Reece McLaren put on a strong striking display to secure a second-round stoppage against Brazilian opponent Windson Ramos.

    The bout was set as the semi-main event of the ONE 162 card which took place out of Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur on Friday night.

    Training under the tutelage of Muay Thai veteran ‘John’ Wayne Parr, McLaren showcased his improving striking which included rocking his opponent with a solid right midway through the first round. That right was finding its mark throughout the contest.

    By the end of the second round it would be Ramos’ right foot that had blown up and he was forced to retire between rounds.

    The win was McLaren’s ninth in One Championship as he moved his record to 16-8. Ramos dropped to 5-2.
