Undefeated ranked Demsey McKean moved a step closer to a big-name title fight as he stopped his German opponent Patrick Korte in their heavyweight contest to claim the vacant IBF Intercontinental belt.
The two heavy hitters entertained early however it was WBO number 10 and IBF number 15 ranked McKean who landed the telling shot, dropping Korte in the third round with an uppercut. Korte struggled to his feet and the fight was stopped.
The bout served as the semi-main event on the Matchroom Boxing card held in Brisbane, Australia on Saturday night.
