The first of four Mayweather vs. McGregor press conferences kicks off this Wednesday at 7:00am AEST live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
The blockbuster Showtime PPV event will take place August 27 AEST at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The fight will be contested over 12, three-minute rounds under boxing rules at 154 pounds.
It will be undefeated Mayweather’s first outing since the 40 year-old defeated Andre Berto back in 2015. Twenty-eight year-old McGregor, meanwhile, will go into what will be his pro boxing debut following a second round TKO against Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205.
Almost 30,000 tickets were given away for the Los Angeles and New York stops alone.
