Training under the guidance of Mark Pease at the Strikeforce Gym on the Gold Coast, Collins stopped RISEveteran Yutaro Asahi inside the first-round.
A head-kick early dropped Asahi for a count and Collins, the RISE featherweight world champion, was able to follow this up to drop Asahi with a straight right to get the stoppage finish.
The end came 2:22 into the first round for Collins who secured his 32nd KO victory and remains undefeated against Japanese fighters at 7-0.
