After an incredible first-round knockout against Ihor Potieria in May, Carlos Ulberg is making a quick return to the octagon for UFC 293 in Sydney, Australia.

This light heavyweight bout is scheduled on September 10th, where the Kiwi is looking to secure his 6th first-round KO in front of his Aussie/Kiwi fans against the South Korean Da Woon Jung.

Ulberg has been making a tear in the light heavyweight division since his loss to Kennedy Nzechukwu at UFC 259, raking up a 4-fight winning streak with 3 of them being first-round knockouts. In the Kiwi’s most recent bout against Potieria, Ulberg was able to put on a masterclass performance against a tough opponent who has 9 knockouts and 6 submission victories on his resume, receiving a ‘Performance of the Night’ bonus.

Woon Jung is currently on a 2-fight losing streak and will be looking to put away the high-profile City Kickboxing fighter. The South Korean will be a stern test for the Kiwi as he has 11 knockouts and 2 submission victories on his record, with one of them being against Nzechukwu via first-round KO. Woon Jung currently has a professional record of 15 wins and 4 losses.
