On February 10th, Australia’s first UFC champion defends his belt against Kelvin Gastelum in Melbourne, Australia.

Both fighters have been very respectful towards each other prior to the fight, but now Gastelum’s manager has made a bold prediction.

You’re hearing it from me now, @KelvinGastelum is gonna sleep Robert Whitaker inside 3 rounds. Every prediction I made in the last 12 months all came true and this is the best of them. Let’s go!

    — Ali Abdelaziz (@AliAbdelaziz00) January 22, 2019

Ali Abdelaziz, manager to UFC champions Khabib Nurmagomedov and Henry Cejudo and top contenders such as Frankie Edgar, Cody Garbrandt and Kelvin Gastelum is not one to remain quiet in the lead up to fights.

In recent memory, all of his fighters have had convincing wins over their opponents in title fights (Khabib vs McGregor and Cejudo vs Dillashaw). Now Abdelaziz has predicted Gastelum will “sleep Whittaker inside three rounds”.

Whether you believe in these predictions or that Ali’s predictions are just a fluke, Whittaker definitely has his hands full with Gastelum who is riding a two-fight win streak over Michael Bisping and Jacare Souza.

Whittaker is riding a nine-fight win streak at middleweight and recently beat Yoel Romero twice. He looks to defend his belt for the second time at UFC 234 in Melbourne.
