The fourth event from ACT based promotion, Storm Damage, is set to take place on Saturday March 22 at the Southern Cross Basketball Stadium in Tuggeranong.

The promotion will continue with its tournament format for this one, with the event, entitled ‘The Beast Within’, to feature a four-man, one-night, title tournament in the men’s featherweight division, with the tournament final slated for the main event.

Following on from a 29 second TKO of Jared Weston at Cage Conquest 3, Richard Kemp-Hay (pictured) will take on local fighter, Steve Reeks, in the opening round of the featherweight tournament. A veteran of 18 fights in both MMA and Muay Thai, Kemp-Hay, AKA ‘Rok Ape’, has announced that this event will be his last. Having recently acquired his coaching accreditation, his future plans post fighting include training others and opening his own gym.

In the other tournament bracket, Luke Apps of NSW and New Zealand’s Peter Cross will meet to decide who receives a shot at the title.

In the co-main event, New Zealand fighter and BJJ brown belt, Kate Da Silva, will make her Storm Damage return to face Melbourne’s Tanya Stevens for the promotion’s vacant women’s bantamweight title. Da Silva fought her way past Arlene Blencowe and Ginny Connors to book a spot opposite fellow Kiwi, and recent Invicta FC signee, Faith Van Duin, in the women’s featherweight tournament final at Storm Damage 3. Her title run was cut short there however, losing by triangle choke submission in the fourth round. Stevens boasts a win over Mae-Lin Leow at Brace 17.

Also slated for the night, is a welterweight title eliminator between Chad Price and Leo Diaz, with the winner expected to face current champ, Kevin Ryan, at Storm Damage 6.

    Main Event:

    • Men’s Featherweight Tournament Final
