Brett Jacobsen gets another shot at an Eternal title this Saturday, this time dropping down to featherweight to take on Garret Gross for the promotions vacant title.
Eternal MMA 17 takes place at the Nerang Police Citizens Youth Club on Queensland’s Gold Coast.
Forty-two year-old Jacobsen is a BJJ Purple Belt and trains out of the Triune MMA gym. He’s a regular of the Eternal promotion having competed eight times, most recently winning a split points decision against fellow veteran Jason Preece back in December.
Formerly from the USA and now training at Shindo New Breed on the Gold Coast, Garret Gross already has a win over Jacobsen, winning via submission back at Eternal 7 in 2014 (Video). The twenty-one year-old last competed back in August last year where he also defeated Jason Preece via unanimous decision.
Also on the card, Chris Morris returns from an extended break to take on Sinosic-Perosh trained Byron Cowell while Darcy Vendy faces Jack Maddalena.
The event will be a mixture of pro and amateur bouts as well as a no-gi grappling super-fight between Chris Helback and Grant Ratcliffe.
