The number one ranked 145 pound women’s fighter on the planet made quick work of New Zealand title challenger Faith Van Duin earlier today as part of the main event of Invicta Fighting Championships 13.

The event took place at the The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas and was streamed live on UFC Fight Pass.

Justino immediately took control and showed little regard of Van Duin’s skills. The Brazilian threw a flurry of punches that found their mark as Van Duin backed onto the cage. A knee to the mid-section from Justin found it’s mark and further punches dropped Van Duin to the canvas. There, ‘Cyborg’ forced the stoppage with further punches to successfully defend her Invicta FC featherweight title.

The end came on 45-seconds into the fight as the 30-year-old keeps alive the potential for a super-fight against UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey. Justino moves to 14-1, 1NC while Van Duin drops to 5-2.

Jessica ‘Jessy Jess’ Rose-Clark lost a unanimous three round decision in her Invicta FC debut earlier on the card.

The Gold Coast based bantamweight faced undefeated Swedish fighter, Pannie Kianzad. The first-round was evenly contested with Kianzad marginally landing the better shots. Kianzad took control in the second round, controlling the top position, however ‘Jessy Jess’ remained active off her back constantly looking for submissions and moving her hips. Jess went on the front foot in the final round, pushing forward looking to get the stoppage however her opponent continued to land from the outside, in particular with the left. Rose-Clark finished the bout with a solid knee to the body before the buzzer ended the fight.

The judges decision came back unanimous, with all three judges giving Pannie Kianzad the win, 30-27.
