The return of the UFC to Sydney has lost a fight.

Ultimate Fighter 25 winner Jesse Taylor has been removed from his upcoming contest at UFC Sydney after USADA announced that he has been flagged for an Anti-Doping Policy violation. The violation comes from an out-of-competition test taken two months after his win over Dhiego Lima, which earned him a new contract with the UFC.

Taylor was scheduled to face Belal Muhammad on the card. The promotion has stated that they are currently seeking a new opponent for Muhammad.

Young Aussie prospect Jake Matthews was quick to jump on social media to let the world know he would like to step in for Taylor and fight Muhammad.

At only 23, Matthews has already fought seven times in the UFC and is looking to return to his winning ways after losing his last two fights. The Melbourne based fighter has not fought since last November where he lost a split decision to Andrew Holbrook.

The UFC will make its return to Sydney on the 19th of November at Qudos Bank Arena. The main event will feature fan favorite Mark Hunt taking on Marcin Tybura of Poland.
