Dubai based Global Fighting Championships held a combined kickboxing and MMA event on Thursday night that featured Australian fighter Gokhan Turkyilmaz and New Zealand fighter Luke Jumeau competing against international opponents in MMA. The event was headlined by a four-man heavyweight tournament that included arch-rivals Badr Hari and Peter Graham on opposite sides of the bracket.

Global Fighting Championships 3 took place at the Za’Abeel Hall, World Trade Centre in the United Arab Emirates.

Making his first appearance since an impressive TKO finish over Alex MacDonald at Nitro 11, Turkyilmaz was able to get his second consecutive, defeating his opponent Vaughn Donayre while his Phuket Top Team team-mate, New Zealand fighter Luke Jumeau knocked out his previously undefeated opponent Hossein Mollamahdi.

In the heavyweight kickboxing tournament, Australian Peter Graham won a close decision over Lithuanian kickboxer Arnold Oborotov and moved on to meet his arch-nemesis Badr Hari after he got past the experienced Stefan Leko with a first-round KO. He followed that up in the final by stopping Graham inside a minute to take the tournament and a reported 1,000,000 AED in prize money (an approximate $292,630 AUD).

Also on the card, K-1 legend Peter Aerts overcame what looked like an early broken foot to continue on and fight to a draw against Dewey Cooper.

Promoted by Prince Amir, the event was streamed live on eliteboxing.tv
