Tyson Pedro has stormed into the UFC rankings after just two fights with the world’s biggest MMA promotion.
The 25 year old, who is 6-0 in his professional career, made his UFC debut as a late call up against Khalil Rountree in Melbourne last November. Despite taking some early damage Pedro managed to secure a first round submission to thunderous applause.
His second fight, under the bright lights of Las Vegas, saw Pedro cement himself as the future of the light heavyweight division after decimating Paul Craig with a first round TKO leaving his perfect record unblemished.
An immediate fan favourite due to his infectious personality and ability to finish fights, Pedro is the light in an otherwise dreary division and will no doubt see a big push from the UFC in the coming months, in particular with an event planned for New Zealand in June.
